Newmarket will welcome the public behind the scenes at some of British racing’s leading yards and equine establishments during The Henry Cecil Open Weekend on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026.

Saturday’s programme includes access to The National Stud, British Racing School, Godolphin Rehoming, Rossdales Equine Hospital and the National Horseracing Museum. Visitors purchasing a separate Newmarket Racecourse ticket can also watch ten trainers compete in a charity race sponsored by Lady Jane Cecil.

On Sunday morning, racegoers can watch horses exercise on Warren Hill before 21 training yards open their doors. John and Thady Gosden, Sir Mark Prescott and Charlie Fellowes are among those taking part.

Entertainment continues on The Severals with the Shetland Pony Grand National, a parade of retired racehorses, a fun dog show and the Amo Racing Personality Show Jumping competition.
