Leg 1: 1.57 Catterick
Banker: Duchess Of Immatin
Duchess Of Immatin is the banker in the opening six-furlong nursery.
George Boughey’s filly has improved with each of her three starts and opened her account with a convincing victory at Kempton last week. She carries a 6lb penalty on her handicap debut, but the manner of that success suggests she may have more to offer.
Bladey Lady is the most obvious danger after winning twice this season, although she will need to improve on her latest effort. Duchess Of Immatin is preferred as the single selection.
Leg 2: 2.32 Catterick
Selections: Gold Key and Muhandes
Gold Key sets the form standard in this seven-furlong maiden. Kevin Ryan’s colt improved considerably when finishing second on his latest appearance and should be competitive if taking another step forward.
Muhandes finished fifth on debut but shaped as though the experience would bring him on. The George Boughey-trained gelding is included alongside Gold Key following the withdrawal of Rupert The Brave.
Leg 3: 3.07 Catterick
Selections: Sugarpiehoneybunch, Lady Phoebe and Fairydale
Sugarpiehoneybunch returned to winning form over today’s course and distance on her latest start. That proven stamina makes her an important inclusion in this two-mile handicap.
Lady Phoebe has regularly been involved in the finish over staying distances and arrives following a second-place performance. Fairydale completes the trio in a competitive race where several runners hold realistic claims.
Regally Blonde is currently listed as a non-runner and has not been included in the perm.
Leg 4: 3.42 Catterick
Selections: Golden Strike, Masaban and Diamont Katie
Golden Strike arrives in dependable form after finishing third and second on his last two appearances. Richard and Peter Fahey’s runner is effective over seven furlongs and looks capable of reaching the frame again.
Masaban is another leading contender and sits prominently in the early market. Diamont Katie provides additional cover after being hampered during her latest race. Her earlier form includes two runner-up finishes, while today’s faster ground could suit.
Leg 5: 4.15 Catterick
Selections: Mo Anam Chara and Vince Le Prince
Mo Anam Chara made a successful stable debut at Thirsk earlier this month, travelling strongly before winning with something in hand. He is now 7lb higher but remains lightly raced and could continue progressing.
Vince Le Prince has three previous course-and-distance victories and has finished in the first four on each of his last five starts. That consistency makes him an appealing Placepot selection despite his lengthy losing run.
Leg 6: 4.50 Catterick
Selections: Golden Prosperity, Without Delay and Society Charm
Golden Prosperity has previously won over both the course and distance and heads the early market for the final leg.
Without Delay has returned to form with second and third-place finishes on her last two starts. She is a previous Catterick winner and looks capable of reaching the frame again.
Society Charm completes the perm. The three-year-old finished third on her return from a break at Southwell and could improve now back on turf. Luke Morris takes the ride for Peter Chapple-Hyam.
