Horse owners buying Sundown Yellow bedding this autumn could find more than they bargained for, with 300 Golden Tickets hidden inside bales and prizes including £100 worth of bedding.

Horse owners stocking up on bedding this autumn could be in for a welcome bonus, as Sundown prepares to hide 300 Golden Tickets inside bales of its Sundown Yellow horse bedding.

Launching in mid-October, the competition will see 10 horse owners win £100 worth of Sundown bedding, with a further 290 winners receiving a free bale of Sundown Yellow.

The Golden Ticket competition marks 50 years of manufacturing for Sundown and will run through participating retailers stocking specially selected bales.

How to find a Sundown Golden Ticket

Horse owners simply need to purchase a bale of Sundown Yellow from a participating retailer and check inside for one of the 300 hidden Golden Tickets.

Ten tickets will entitle their finder to £100 worth of Sundown bedding of their choice, while the remaining 290 tickets can be exchanged for a free bale of Sundown Yellow.

Winners should redeem their Golden Ticket at the retailer where they originally purchased their bedding.

Rachel Cubitt, Director at Sundown, said: “We’re excited to be launching this Golden Ticket competition to celebrate 50 years of manufacturing, and delight our customers. We can’t wait to hear when customers find their Golden Tickets!”

Autumn bedding season

The competition arrives as many horse owners begin preparing stables for the wetter, colder months and horses start spending more time indoors.

Sundown Yellow is a double de-dusted chopped straw horse bedding with a fresh eucalyptus scent. Designed to be absorbent, robust and straightforward to muck out, it is also used at the Pony Club National Championships and a number of Bede Events competitions.

Bales containing Golden Tickets will begin arriving with participating retailers from mid-October.
