Medal Re-Allocation From 2018’s FEI Young Rider European Championships The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) has announced that they have been informed, by the FEI, that Harry Charles has been disqualified from last year’s Young Rider Championships in Fontainbleau, France. British Showjumper, Charles, has been disqualified following positive blood tests for the controlled FEI substance, Lidocaine. The samples were taken following the Team Final at the French event from Charles’ ride Vivaldi du Dom. The RSPCA are appealing for information after two young colts were found dumped on land off Gelderd Road, Morley on Sunday (20 January). Fighter Jet Technology To Benefit Horse Transport The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) have announced the development of an environmental monitoring unit for horse’s during transport. The unit, named Equus-Sense, has been developed through a project partnership between BAE Systems and UK Sport. The unit has been built on the a concept used to monitor cockpit conditions and air quality and is found in combat aircraft, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon. FEI Endurance Temporary Committee Reviews Rules The FEI Endurance Temporary Committee have held their second meeting regarding the discipline’s rules, in light of feed-back from the Endurance community. The Temporary Committee comprises of world-wide representatives and experts in the sport including, Dr Sarah Coombs (GBR), Tarek Taher (KSA), Pieter Wiersinga (NED),Dr Tim Parking (GBR), and Valerie Kanavy (USA). Memorial Service To Be Held in Memory Of Tim Stockdale A memorial service is set to be held in commemoration of British Olympic Showjumper, Tim Stockdale.  The remarkable athlete, who previously returned to the sport after a serious neck injury unfortunately died, late last year. Stockdale, aged 54, passed away just one-month after being diagnosed with stomach cancer.
