The UAE claimed showjumping team silver at the Asian Games 2026 in Tokyo on Thursday 1 October, delivering five clear rounds as Saudi Arabia retained its title in a contest decided by the final rider. The Emirates Jumping Team finished on four faults across two rounds at JRA Equestrian Park, taking silver ahead of host nation Japan. Saudi Arabia completed the competition without adding a fault to secure gold. UAE riders claim five wins at Sentower Park ahead of Asian Games

UAE show jumping riders claimed five victories at Sentower Park in Belgium, with four Emirati riders winning across young-horse and CSI1* classes during the four-day international fixture. Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi began the winning run on Thursday with Biarritz Z, taking the seven and eight-year-old international class ahead of 78 other combinations. Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi and SS Ourania added another UAE podium finish in third, while Humaid Abdulla Khalifa Al Muhairi and Villon WH finished second in the six-year-old division. Britain’s top young showjumping horses head to Hickstead with World Championship places at stake

Some of the country’s most promising young showjumping horses will take centre stage at Hickstead next week, with British titles, more than £80,000 in prize money and bonuses, and places at the FEI World Breeding Championship for Young Horses at stake. The Al Shira’aa British Young Horse Championships return to the West Sussex showground from 13-16 August, bringing together four-, five-, six- and seven-year-old horses for four days of competition. The Championships host the British qualifiers for the FEI World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium, giving combinations the opportunity to earn their place on the international stage.
