It’s a wrap for Equestrian Festival Baborówko cross-country
Saturday was cross-country day for the Equestrian Festival Baborówko CCI4*-S, CCI4*-L and CCI2*-YH rounds. The CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S and CCI1*-Intro finished their showjumping tests. The riders had to face not only the demanding courses, but also the changing and challenging weather.
In the CCI4*-L Fouaad Mirza (IND) kept his double lead after dressage as he is still first with SEIGNEUR MEDICOTT and second with DAJARA 4. Third place after the XC belongs to Lara de Liedekerke-Meier (BEL) riding FREYA DES CONCESSIONS, who went up from the fourth.
No changes in the lead in the CCI4*-S, with the best result still belonging to Ingrid Klimke (GER) with SAP HALE BOB OLD (pictured above), who took the lead on Thursday. The next two places after clear and speedy rounds belong to Michael Jung (GER), as he is second with with FISCHERCHIPMUNK FRH (up from the third) and third with FISHERWILD WAVE (up from fifth).
After the cross-country the lead in the Polish National Championships belongs to Paweł Spisak with BANDERAS, who is also currently sixth in the overall classification of the CCI4*-S. Mateusz Kiempa with LIBERTINA sits in second (12th in the class), and Paweł Warszawski with LUCINDA EX ANI 4 – third (17th in the class).
In the CCI2*-YH, for young six-year-old horses, the new leader is Merel Blom (NED) with DENIM, who came up from third after dressage. Christoffer Forsberg (SWE) is second for now with WATERMILL WEDGEWOOD, and third place belongs to Andreas Dibowski (GER) riding CRISTALLIK.
The showjumping tests took place for the CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S and CCI1*-Intro. Michael Jung (GER) took the lead in the three-star class for the trophy of Kuhn Maszyny Rolnicze with KILCANDRA OCEAN POWER. Two pairs are still tied for the second: Hanna Knüppel (GER) with GEKE EQUIGRIP’S LEVINIO and Greta Busacker (GER) with SCRABBLE OLD.
In the CCI2*-S, the leader after the jumping is Lotte Palmgren (FIN) riding GENIALE 11. Esteban Benitez Valle (ESP) is second with ESCARA GP, and Felix Etzel (GER) sits in third with PROMISING PETE TSF.
No changes in the top three in the Intro class for the trophy of Canter Club. The leading position still belongs to Jerome Robine (GER) with COBY R, Merel Blom (NED) is second with THE BLACK SWAN, and Malin Petersen (SWE) is third with HULDA.
A driving competition is being played out during Equestrian Festival Baborówko for the very first time – this year for the trophy of Badix. In the N class the best result belongs to Weronika Kwiatek with Dajluk and Epilog. Bartłomiej Kwiatek is the leather in L class with Diego and Romantyk.
