Which Colours Suit My Horse?
Ever wondered which colours suit my horse?
In a time where a matchy-matchy set seems essential for your horse, a colour to suit their coat colour is more important than ever before. Keeping your horse’s style ‘on point’, requires you to choose the right colour that can create a striking and polished look in a matter of minutes! So, what colours should you be adding to your horse-wear collection?
Black, Grey and Cremello Coat Colours
TRY: As neutral colours on the spectrum, pretty much any colour goes with a black, grey or cremello coloured coat. However, to flawlessly highlight the brilliance in these coats, we recommend bold, jewel colours, such as emerald, ruby and amethyst.
An emerald green sits perfectly on a grey coat, while a ruby really pops on a black horse.

AVOID: Dull or muted colours take away from black and white horse’s natural coat shine – which can be a hard task in itself! Try to stay away from light pastels and dusty neutrals for the ultimate coat-enhancing look.
Chestnut, Palomino and Buckskin Coats
TRY: For chestnut and palomino horses try a cool blue to accessorise. Meanwhile, a palomino, burgundy is a go-to colour that pops. Bare in mind, buckskin coats can vary in shades.

AVOID: Warm tones, especially reds, oranges and yellows. Limit warm colourings to just the detailing on your horse’s accessories.
Bright Bay and Coloured Coats
TRY: Cool tones of green and blue look the best on bright bays and coloured coats. Green colours from Moss to Pistachio work well, whilst blue shades, such as the classic Sky Blue and Royal Blue, are also great against warm, bright bays!

AVOID: Warm tones of red, oranges and brown can get lost in the warmth of a bright bay’s coat. Meanwhile, yellows and golds tend to clash.
Dark Bay and Brown
TRY: Warm, bright and deep shades of reds, pinks, oranges and browns on cool, dark bays and browns. Burgundy, magenta and rust colours all look fantastic against the cool, darker colourings of these coats. Warm lavender tones can also look fantastic against a cool bay or brown.

AVOID: Black and cool tones of green, blue and purple. Cool tones tend to get lost in dark bay and brown coats, which can make your horse’s look appear cluttered!
