This year again, Tops International Arena will host international riders on ponies up to U25 riders at the Global Future Champions (GFC) show on 6 – 8 August, allowing up and coming talents to perform on a world-class stage creating a launchpad for the show jumping stars of the next generation. Straight after the extremely popular young rider competitions at GFC, young horses will take to the stage from 9 – 11 August in an excellent opportunity for riders, breeders, studbooks, and visitors to come and compete or watch the future equine stars.
The incredible season at Tops International Arena culminates in the 12th leg of the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL team series which will come to its spiritual home in Valkenswaard from 20 – 22 August. CSI2*, CSI1* and YH classes will also take place at this incredible equestrian facility, allowing the 5* riders to make the most of fantastic facilities by bringing along some of their less experienced horses, whilst also giving the opportunity for other riders to measure themselves against the world’s best riders.
TIA is making a breathtaking return to grass this year with a completely new surface for 2021. The exceptional 125m by 85m innovative grass arena will allow numerous international and young riders coming to Valkenswaard to compete on both sand and grass arenas with the highest quality footing.
Within the impressive complex, there is a shopping village, refreshments, and entertainment areas, all of which are available for all the family to enjoy when not watching top-class showjumping action from the high quality covered grandstands. The large variety of classes from Longines Ranking classes to pony show classes provides great sporting moments for the public that come to watch.
With safety, the number one priority, Tops International Arena continues to work closely with the Dutch authorities and the FEI governing body to ensure the events follow strict health protocols under the COVID-19 regulations.
The superb facilities created by Longines Global Champions Tour Founder and President Jan Tops have reached new heights following developments last year putting the venue as the epicentre of equestrianism in Europe.
