HUBSIDE Jumping Grimaud Host the Best this August

A selection of the world’s best showjumpers will return to HUBSIDE Showjumping Grimaud, to compete in CSI 1, 2 and 4* international showjumping for the last two weekends of August. Plus … some new features await the public!

Open to everyone, free of charge. It is mandatory to wear a face mask.

The Haras des Grillons de Grimaud’s ring, which is regularly praised by the greatest riders, will play host to three levels of competition from Thursday to Sunday: a CSI 1*, a CSI 2* and a CSI 4*. Thus providing many riders with an opportunity to practice before the CSI 5* track next week.

A torrent of prominent champions!

This week, the public in Var will enjoy watching the regulars of the Grimaud show perform and among them, the best riders of the international ranking. The World No. 1 and winner of the 5* Grand Prix at the beginning of July, Steve Guerdat (SUI) will be present once again, just like Belgium’s Nils Bruynseels (#17), the winner of the 4* Grand Prix the week after. Three experienced riders will be representing Germany in the ring: Daniel Deusser (#3), Marcus Ehning (#17) and Christian Ahlmann (#13) will be defending their country’s colours. Peder Fredricson (#4) and Pieter Devos (#5), the best Swedish and Belgian riders in the international ranking, will also be in the ring.

Facing the champions who have come from the whole of Europe, the public will discover the best ranked French riders in the international ranking such as Julien Epaillard (#14), Kevin Staut (#22), Pénélope Leprévost (#24) and Simon Delestre (#29). The Olympic team gold medallists Roger- Yves Bost and Philippe Rozier will also be competing. As will Marc Dilasser, the recent winner of the Grand National FFE-AC PRINT 1.50m Grand Prix of Canteleu at the end of July, as well as the 3-star 1.55m Grand Prix of Opglabbeek (BEL) at the beginning of August. Edward Levy, the winner of this weekend’s Longines Deauville Classic 3* Grand Prix will also be present.

The HUBSIDE JUMPING’S new features

The HUBSIDE JUMPING will resume this weekend with a programme enriched with evening classes. After a day at the show or on the beach, the public will be able to watch the CSI 4* speed classes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, in the Haras des Grillons de Grimaud’s ring. An exceptional show under the stars!

Another new feature at the HUBSIDE JUMPING: a covered stand will allow the public, who want to watch the classes during the day to cheer on the riders and horses, to be protected from the Var sun.

This week the Italian course designer Andrea Colombo will be in charge of the track of the courses. Three levels of competition (CSI 1, 2 and 4*) boast prize money totalling 276,000 euros, of which 100,000 euros will be for Sunday’s CSI 4* Grand Prix.

All of the classes at HUBSIDE Jumping Grimaud will be broadcast live on https://grandprix.tv/fr
