Fresh from winning team gold for Great Britain at the FEI World Eventing Championships in Aachen, Tom McEwen is set to compete at the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials this September.
The double Olympic team gold medallist has a number of horses entered for the Oxfordshire event, which takes place from 16 to 20 September against the backdrop of Blenheim Palace.
McEwen helped Great Britain secure World Championship team gold in Aachen in August and will now return to three-day competition closer to home. The Agria-sponsored rider is based at Gatcombe in Gloucestershire.
Agria UK CEO Vicki Wentworth said: “Few people ride with Tom’s intuitive horsemanship across the country and give up-and-coming horses such an educational ride. He’s a brilliant rider whom we are very proud to support, and we are so excited to see him compete at the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.”
Blenheim will welcome leading riders from Britain and around the world for CCI4* competition across dressage, cross-country and showjumping.
Away from the competition, this year’s event will also feature a shopping village and a range of activities for visitors, including several dog-friendly additions such as a sniff and scent trail and free dog agility.
