The FEI Youth Rankings are the official world rankings for young equestrian athletes competing across international sport. Published monthly by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), they recognise the leading riders, horses and combinations across youth categories including Under 25, Young Riders, Juniors, Ponies, Children, Para Dressage and Endurance.
The rankings provide an insight into the future stars of equestrian sport, highlighting riders who are achieving consistent international results and progressing towards senior championship competition.
In the July 2026 update, British riders continue to feature prominently across several disciplines, with leading names maintaining world-class positions in Eventing, Dressage, Jumping and Para Dressage.
While international riders continue to dominate many of the top spots, Great Britain remains strongly represented, particularly in Eventing, Dressage and Para Dressage, with several riders maintaining positions among the world’s best.
Jumping U25: Jack Whitaker remains inside the world’s top six
Belgium’s Thibeau Spits continues his reign at the top of the FEI Jumping U25 World Rankings, but British interest remains strong with Jack Whitaker continuing to feature among the leading riders.
Whitaker, who has been a consistent presence on the international stage, sits sixth in the latest rankings with 1,579 points.
The biggest move in the top end of the rankings came from Monaco’s Anastasia Nielsen, who climbed into seventh place following a breakthrough victory at the 5* St Tropez Grand Prix with ESI Rocky.
The 20-year-old, who was European Junior champion in 2023 with Tailormade Contou, produced a major career milestone by defeating some of the world’s leading combinations at the prestigious French venue.
Dressage: British riders continue to challenge internationally
Young Riders: British representation among the world’s best
The FEI Dressage Young Rider rankings continue to be led by Dutch combination Anniek van Dulst and My First Choice – Dutopia, but British riders remain part of the international picture.
The latest rankings highlight the strength of youth dressage competition across Europe, with riders continuing to develop towards senior championship level.
Juniors: Isla Sully leads the way
British rider Isla Sully continues to hold the FEI Junior Dressage World Ranking lead alongside Vagabond de Massa.
The combination strengthened their position after an impressive performance at Wellington (GBR), where they produced a winning double across two days of competition.
Their score of 72.598% in the Junior Individual Competition was the only result above the 70% mark during the event, helping them maintain their five-point advantage at the top of the rankings.
Sully’s continued success places her among the most exciting young dressage talents currently emerging from Great Britain.
Eventing: British riders dominate U25 and Young Rider rankings
Eventing remains a particularly strong area for British youth riders, with several athletes featuring prominently in the latest FEI standings U25 Eventing: Alice Casburn leads British challenge
Germany’s Calvin Böckmann remains number one in the FEI Eventing U25 World Rankings, but Great Britain holds strong representation in the leading positions.
Alice Casburn sits third in the world on 212 points, continuing an impressive season which has seen her establish herself as one of Britain’s leading young event riders.
Casburn is joined in the top five by fellow British riders:
- Isabelle (Issy) Cook – fourth
- Jasmine Underwood – fifth
All three riders are among those targeting the inaugural FEI U25 World Championship in Millstreet, Ireland.
Young Riders: Issy Cook maintains world number one position
British rider Isabelle (Issy) Cook continues to lead the FEI Eventing Young Rider World Rankings.
Sitting on 176 points, Cook holds a 24-point advantage over compatriot Jasmine Underwood, who remains second.
Australia’s Lamoza Velisha sits third, while another British rider, Jago Jackson, occupies fourth following another strong international performance.
Britain’s depth in this category is particularly impressive, with riders making up half of the top ten.
Juniors: Ella Howard continues to dominate
British rider Ella Howard remains firmly established at the top of the FEI Eventing Junior World Rankings.
At just 18 years old, Howard holds a significant lead at the summit with 117 points, sitting 58 points ahead of her closest challenger.
Her consistent performances have established her as one of Britain’s most promising young eventing talents.
Para Dressage: Elan Williams holds commanding lead
British rider Elan Williams continues to set the standard in the FEI Para Dressage U18 World Individual Rankings.
The Grade I athlete remains world number one after a series of outstanding performances with Nalique.
Williams has built an impressive 381-point advantage over Hong Kong’s Lok Yee Louie Lam, with a current total of 1,329 points.
The 17-year-old’s continued success highlights Britain’s strength in developing future Paralympic talent.
Endurance and the wider youth rankings
The FEI Endurance Junior/Young Rider rankings have a new leader, with China’s Jiahe Sui moving into the top position following another strong season.
Meanwhile, Tunisia’s Rayan Louhichi and Karawene Carthage continue to lead the youth combination rankings.
