The Bucas Atlantic Turnout is made with incredibly tough outer ballistic nylon with a silky Dermo-care lining to wick away moisture. The rug is highly waterproof and breathable. The Click ‘n’ Go front with magnetic Snap-lock closure makes putting this rug on, and taking it off, a breeze. There’s an attachment for a Combi Neck and connection points for use with Bucas Quilts and Coolers.

On first thoughts, this rug looked like it was going to be warm – infact, a little too warm looking if we’re honest. However, looks can be deceiving as our mare who had a full clip still hasn’t overheated in it.
The rug is now three years old! (yes, we managed to keep it for that long), and it has out-lived a number of other, slightly lighter weigh rugs.
After the third winter, there are still no tears, and apart from the mud – the rug looks as new as the day we received it.
Our favourite features (and I say this as myself and my daughter share our horse) remains the front closure design, with the magnetic clip.
The price of this rug is on the high end, however, it’ll stand the test of time AND you won’t spend the next few years buying new rugs as soon as the winter comes along.
We paired the rug with the Bucas stable rug, that fits nicely underneath the turnout, however, we only tried this to see how it fits. It wasn’t needed to add any extra warmth.
