Spectators go free at the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships
Spectators go free this August when the hugely-anticipated 2022 Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships returns to Bolesworth over five action-packed days from 10 to 14 August!
Following July’s Dodson & Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show, the Bolesworth team have decided to reward its supporters, and welcome new people to Bolesworth by offering free entrance to its next high-profile event, namely, the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships.

The event incorporates the official qualifiers for the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships which will be held at Zangersheide, Belgium from 21 – 25 September this year.
There’ll be International Showjumping throughout the week at 1* and 2* level, with a 2* Grand Prix running after the six and seven-year-old finals have taken place on Sunday 14th August
Louise Saywell, with her horse Kingsborough Kasper, was the resounding winner of the Dodson & Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show Grand Prix earlier this month. She will contest the upcoming Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships, and will bring at least five young horses to Bolesworth next month.
Other top riders due to compete include George Whitaker, James Wilsom, Damien Charles, Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA), Anthony Condon (IRE), Christopher Burton (AUS), Humaid Al Muhain (UAE), Omar Al Marzouki (UAE) and Gemma Tattersall.

Bolesworth Elite Foal Auction
The Bolesworth Elite Foal Auction will take place on Friday, 12 August. It will feature a truly outstanding collection of around 25 foals – it’s set to be the best yet! Famous sires that feature in the collectin include Chacco Blue, Cornet Obolensky, Aganiz de Seigneur Z, Tobago Z, Emerald, Comme Il Faut, Big Star and Diamant de Semilly.
