Stellar Line-Up for Liverpool International Horse Show
A WORLD class field of show jumping and dressage stars are set to make their way north for the Liverpool International Horse Show.
Leading the way in the show jumping stakes is the legend that is John Whitaker along with his son Robert.
Twice winner of the prestigious Grand Prix and heading for a third-time success in the Hope Valley Grand Prix on New Year’s Eve is Irishman Billy Twomey, who is always up for a battle-royal. He will be joined by fellow prolific Irish riders Conor Swail, Anthony Condon and Shane Breen.
Joining them is 21-year-old crowd favourite Jessica Mendoza and Amanda Derbyshire who has made a name for herself in the US riding Goldbreaker and Lady Maria BH before returning home to Britain for Olympia and Liverpool.
The line-up also includes Italian star, Alberto Zorzi, stable jockey of Jan and Edwina Tops, who is at the heart of an Italian showjumping resurgence on the world stage. Emanuele Gaudiano is also returning to Liverpool having been a multiple winner over the last two years.
All with be fighting it out for a place in the final evenings Hope Valley Saddlery Liverpool International Grand Prix.
Other leading names include William Funnell, Laura Renwick, Louise Saywell, Guy Williams, Richard Howley, Sanne Thijssen, Sameh El Dinan, and Andrew Kocher.

What more can be said about Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin when it comes to one simple word – dressage!
Carl will enter the iconic Echo Arena on the super talented Hawtins Delicato for the Equitop Myoplast Inter 1 Dressage to Music Freestyle on the Friday evening.
Joined by the stunningly successful Charlotte Dujardin riding her own En Vogue, the competition will show case future Olympic hopefuls as they dance their way in a bid for glory.
Lara Butler rides another rising star in the shape of Kristjan with Charlie Hutton riding Seagry Sanay and Becky Edwards entered on Headmore Delegate.
Kate Cowell is entered on the chestnut Sambar Dancer, while Levi Hunt rides Abbey Tiron, local rider Sarah Higgins takes to the stage on Waldessarini, and Nicola Buchanan’s ride is Half Moon Dark Magic.
