The board of British Eventing met to discuss the government’s announcement, and following consideration thought it was in the best interests of all involved to cancel all events going forward due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

The advice given by the government included the necessity to minimise social contact and non-essential travel in a bid not to further burden the NHS, and emergency services.

Members entries fees will be refunded under the abandonment insurance. British Eventing has added;

We thank all of our members, organisers, officials, volunteers and staff for their support during these unprecedented times.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will resume sporting activity as soon as we are able.

We will update you as soon as we have any further information”.

The move follows the cancellation of larger-scale equestrian events such as the Longines Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League announcing cancellation last week.
