The Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner from Absorbine is an easy to use tack cleaner that we predict will be establishing itself as a firm favourite in our tack room moving forward! Easy to apply with almost instant results, the product does exactly as it states on the bottle with minimum fuss.

The team at here at Everything Horse tested the Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner on a well-weathered pair of Ariat Belle H20 Boots, and we were more than pleasantly surprised with the results.

Before application, the boots had hardened with the mud due to the excessively wet conditions in the UK over the winter period. After a rather simple application of the product, the leather not only felt soft and supple but looked conditioned too. The lightweight oil enhanced the leather’s natural colour,  helping restore the look and feel of the boot.

A little goes a long way – We applied the product to the boots with a cloth, although a sponge can be used. Bear in mind, a little bit goes a long way, so apply sparingly. Once absorbed, you may choose to apply a second coat, we found using two layers adequate.

Easy, easy, easy!

  • Easy to use – This product is so easy to use. A quick wipe down with a damp cloth to remove excess mud and dirt, leave for a couple of minutes to dry and then on goes the Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner. It wipes over the leather easily without over-absorbing or leaving saturation marks or patches, a particular advantage when cleaning large areas of leather i.e a saddle.
  • Easily absorbed – Our well-weathered boots seemed to thoroughly enjoy a bit of TLC! The oil was wiped over the boots and dried without leaving a residue or feeling sticky, giving them what felt like a new lease of life.
  • Easy to dispense – The bottle comes with an easy to dispense cap, great for storing away without the chance of spillage, there’s also no battling with screw on lids with slippery hands after application, minimising the chance of cross-contamination.

Mould and mildew

The conditioner is infused with mould and mildew inhibitors, helping protect tack and other items over a longer period of time i.e when being stored away.

Overall conclusion

The product is easy to use and dries quickly, leaving a restored look and feel to leather items. Thoroughly recommended for any time of year, most of all when tired, worn boots and saddles need a good clean and restoration.

Ideal for: Boots, saddles, bridles, martingales – any items made with leather!

Product information

The Leather Therapy Restorer & Conditioner is a blend of rich replenishing oils formulated to transform dry, hard leather to original flexibility. It is ideal for restoring old, dried out leather and helps it last longer with regained suppleness and strength as well as inhibiting mould and mildew. To use, apply to clean leather with a damp cloth. It leaves no residue or moisture build-up and works cumulatively as the effects are reinforced with each use because the mould and mildew inhibitors stay in the leather, not just on the surface. Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner is ideal for bringing old, dry leather back to life and for maintaining your best tack, especially if going into storage or if it will not be used for a while.
