It’s Fun all the Way at The Liverpool International Horse Show
Leaping bikes, racing shetlands, legendary band names – where else? The Liverpool International Horse Show – Echo Arena – December 29 to 31, 2017.
Liverpool is famous for hosting the most iconic steeplechase in the World at Aintree – and the Liverpool International Horse Show has the pleasure of bringing spectators their very own version of that nail biting race in miniature!
The Shetland Pony Grand National will see pint sized jockeys on very feisty ponies racing their hearts out to be led into the winner’s enclosure. These Shetlands take their racing very seriously and travel all over the country performing at high profile shows…very high in ‘cute’ factor and a firm favourite for the kids!
FMX, or Freestyle Motocross takes the sport of Motocross to another level with riders flying off a purpose built ramp with their bikes 40 feet in the air and will feature every sessions.
Due to the risky – some might even say downright crazy – nature of the sport, freestylers are highly paid sporting stars who compete in year-round competitions inclduing the X Games, Red Bull X-fighters and the Arenacross World Tour.
The team will lay down their best tricks and ‘whips’, which are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seats…listen out for a cry of ‘TRAIN’ before they all hit the ramp in insanely close succession for a mind blowing display that will leave you in awe!
The Echo Arena will without doubt be the best place to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the whole family! The session will start with serious World Class International Show jumping, with riders battling to become the Liverpool International Grand Prix Champion – a title currently held by Irishman Billy Twomey.
After this the New Year’s celebrations get underway with the fun of the International Knockout where riders race against each other round a mirror image course.
All the acts will be bringing spectators even more pyrotechnics and excitement with New Year’s Eve specials from Luminoso – the dare devil stunt display with horses and fire, the Freestyle Motocross riders and the Shetland Pony Grand National Final.
If that’s not all New Year’s Eve will be welcomed in with style thanks to Rick Parfitt Jnr and the RPJ band, not forgetting a spectacular indoor firework show as the clock strikes midnight with a few surprises along the way!
