French Horse Rider Killed in Rotational Fall French horse rider, Maxime Debost, has been killed from a rotational fall when riding the cross country course at the CCI1* Chateaubriant yesterday (24/09/2017). His horse, 13 year old Qurt de Montplaisir, was unhurt during the fall. The remaining day’s competition was cancelled and the FEI, along with police, are compiling a full report. Woman sent to prison for starving her pony A woman who starved her pony – despite having bales of hay which she had failed to put down for the animal – has been jailed. Funds needed for horse who suffered injury protecting a foal from an attack A rescued horse is receiving extensive medical treatment. The RSPCA is appealing to horse lovers for help covering the veterinary costs of an abandoned horse who was found with a fractured leg after protecting a foal from being attacked by a stallion. The 12-year-old gelding, nicknamed Dancer, was found in north Hampshire in a herd of approximately 14 other horses on 12 July.
