British Dressage Online Championships Qualifying Classes Now Open
Dressage Anywhere has announced qualifying classes for the 2020 Equetech British Dressage Online Championships are now open. The team are also delighted to welcome their new headline sponsorship with leading equestrian apparel brand, Equetech.
From January to the end of September 2020, riders entering Dressage Anywhere’s regular monthly competition classes at Introductory to Advanced Medium level can qualify for the 2020 Equetech British Dressage Online Championships. Dates for the Champs are due to be released later in the year, with an expectation of October/November for those eager set their goals for the year ahead!
Dressage Anywhere’s mission continues to drive the message “that dressage should be accessible to everyone, everywhere” with the classes and Championships giving riders the opportunity to compete without leaving their yard.
The initiative is perfect for riders in remote locations – those without transport or difficult to load horses for example. However, the opportunity further expands to those who don’t own a horse or pony but ride regularly at a riding school or club.
How do I enter a dressage online class?
It’s really easy to take part – enter online and then once you’ve ridden and filmed your test, upload the video to the Dressage Anywhere website for judging.
To qualify for the Championships riders must be British Nationals or British Expatriates and achieve three scores at 60% or above at the same level. More information is available on the Dressage Anywhere Rules page: https://www.dressageanywhere.com/Help/DressageAnywhereRules
Linda Whetstone, Chairman of British Dressage (BD) said,
Congratulations to Dressage Anywhere for hosting a Championships that is accessible to literally any dressage rider in the world with an arena and a mobile phone or video camera, many of whom might never have dreamed that such an opportunity would ever be available to them.”
Nereide Goodman of Dressage Anywhere said,
We’re delighted to be hosting these Online Championships for British Dressage for the seventh year. By creating opportunities for so many riders to compete and receive feedback from experienced judges we are further fulfilling our mission to make the sport of dressage accessible to all.”
