This horse race was founded in 1999 in Funabashi in Chiba Japan and usually takes place mid-April. It was deemed the richest horse race in the world, increasing in attraction for tourists. The winner’s money is a sum that reached $2 million. The course is covered with grass, mud and obstacles which makes the races interesting to watch. The rules stipulate that horses that take part in the race must be at least four years old during the course.
