Autumn in the Rockies Arrives at The Colorado Horse Park

The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) is pleased to announce the release of the 2018 Autumn in the Rockies Series Prize List. After an extremely successful seven-week Summer in the Rockies Series, Autumn in the Rockies (AIR) is set to please equestrians returning to make the most of their 2018 show season. AIR I will be held from September 6-9 and AIR II will commence from September 13-16, with both weeks featuring first class hunter, jumper, and equitation competition.

A $10,000 Welcome Stake will kick-off the competitive circuit on Thursday, September 6 and Thursday, September 13. In addition to a full schedule of classes, the jumper rings will also welcome the return of the fan-favorite competition, the $25,000 Grand Prix on Sunday. Sundays will also be filled with lucrative classics including the $1,000 Voltaire Modified Junior/Amateur Classic, the $1,500 Horseware® Ireland Low Junior/Amateur Classic, the $1750 Medium Junior/Amateur Classic and the $2,000 High Junior/Amateur Classic.
 
The hunter rings will play host to hunter and equitation classes awarding monetary prizes and medal honors. $500 purses are assigned to the top winners of the CWD Junior Hunter 3’6″ Classic, Marshall & Sterling Children’s Hunter Classic and CWD Junior Hunter 3’3″ Classic. The peak of the hunter performances will be the $2,500 USHJA National Derbies, to be held on the Saturday competition days.

Hospitality will be allotted via the Berm Pavilion, formerly VIP Pavilion, and will be open to General Admission, providing shaded viewing of the International Arena, as well as the Olson Family Arena. A variety of pre-packaged foods will be available daily, as well as a cash bar in the afternoons. Picnic basket packages are also available for purchase-filled with an assortment of fruits, cheese and crackers, a beautiful Colorado Horse Park blanket, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options.
