A Catch Up With Everything Horse Sponsored Dressage Rider, Stephen Hayes

Well it’s been yet another fantastic year for our fellow Brit and Everything Horse sponsored rider, Stephen Hayes. Here we catch up with Stephen to learn more about what he’s been up to since we last spoke earlier in the year.

Stephen is based in the USA at Perfect Harmony Dressage in the Hamptons, New York and Loxahatchee, Florida during the winter months. It’s where some of the biggest competitors in the world will compete during the winter show season at the Global Dressage festival show grounds.

“I’m really looking forward to this winter! Equestrians from across the world come together into one community and learn, compete and thrive in a very motivated and inspiring environment. It’s quite amazing! Not to mention the amazing beaches that are so close by and great shopping and restaurant’s. It really is in my eyes the best place in the world to be during the winter’” Stephen says.

Having hosted over 30 clinics throughout the USA, Malaysia, Europe, Australia and Singapore this year alone, including a seminar at one of the USA’s biggest horse events of the year ‘The Equine Affaire’, Stephen has also been busy riding his own horses, clients horses, and coaching his students in Long Island, New York.

“I love to ride, I love to teach and I love travel. In my eyes, I have the perfect job” said Stephen “I’m always counting my blessings that I’m able to earn a living doing something I love, the support system around is also extraordinary, family, friends from around the world, my sponsors and of course my clients are all to thank for such a great year.”
Stephen has very recently been on the hunt for fresh, talented equines in Europe. ‘Perfect Harmony’ has teamed up with Stephen to bring back some hidden gems to the US. They travel out to Holland, Germany and Spain twice a year in search of some really good, safe and trainable horses.
“We have made some really exciting contacts in Europe who are our ‘scouts’ so to speak. Having eyes in Europe is crucial to helping us find the best possible horses not only in quality but in their minds too. Adult amateurs are such a huge market in the USA and they will definitely be one of our main targets.” Stephen says.

“I would like to extend a huge thank you to my sponsors for your continued support, Horse Scout, Trilogy: Performance Saddlery, EnviroEquine, Romfh Equestrian Apparel, Epiony, Horzehoods, Jin Stirrup, Neue Schule, Epiony, Dressage Sport Boot and of course Everything Horse.”
We at Everything Horse would like to wish Stephen Hayes and his team of horses and riders a very successful season competing in Wellington, Florida. The future looks bright for our sponsored rider of now four years!
