Thieves Steal Equestrian Charity Collection Box

Bransby Horses Overwhelmed by Support Following Break In

Equine rescue and welfare charity, Bransby Horses, was left devastated when thieves broke in to their Lincoln Visitor Centre stealing a collection box containing money to help horses that have suffered cruelty or neglect.

The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday 17th August and was captured on CCTV. The charity was deeply saddened by the theft, and not only was the donation box stolen but they also need to repair damage to the building.

Messages of support and donations have been arriving from kind supporters and as a result, the charity has been able to replace the stolen donation box promptly.

Said Chief Executive Jo Snell: “Following the break in we have been overwhelmed by the kindness of our supporters which has really lifted the spirits of the Bransby Horses’ staff. Everyone works so hard and to be the victim of theft was heart-breaking. Thank you so much to all of our wonderful supporters.”

The charity continues to operate as usual, opening to the public seven days a week, from 10.00am-4.00pm. If you would like to visit or make a donation, please visit the website for further information.
