Gornall Equestrian open day
Gornall Equestrian – home to international showjumper Jamie Gornall – is throwing open its doors to the public for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at its state-of-the-art training facility, one of the finest in Europe, on Saturday 14 April.
Visitors to the yard at Home Farm, in the pretty North Yorkshire village of Kirk Hammerton, between York and Harrogate, will meet Jamie and his stunning competition horses, ranging from talented youngsters to those at Grand Prix level. Many of these are available as breeding stallions throughout the 2018 season.
Jamie and his professional team will be on hand throughout the day to provide insight into the way they produce and manage horses in this environment, helping them to thrive and achieve their potential. The event will include talks from world-renowned reproductive veterinary surgeon James Crabtree, of Equine Reproductive Services, and Gornall Equestrian’s nutritional partner, Connolly’s Red Mills.
Industry experts will also attend the event to provide visitors with advice on an array of equine-related topics, including feeding and breeding. Open day tickets are priced at £10 plus booking fee and should be bought online at gornallequestrian.com in advance. The website also provides further information about the event and showcases many of the Gornall Equestrian horses.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming visitors to Home Farm,” said Jamie. “Gornall Equestrian is committed to excellence and we are extremely proud of all that we have built up here and we are excited to be able to give people an insight into how we produce and manage elite competition and breeding horses.”
