Action is set to get underway at Somerford Park’s Premier League Dressage in Cheshire (26 – 28 May), and the organisers have revealed visitors are in for a real treat.

Set in the stunning Cheshire landscape, Somerford Park is widely regarded as a jewel in the crown of Britain’s equestrian landscape. Offering superb facilities, the venue will play host to 400 horses throughout the three days of competition across the bank holiday weekend.

There is so much to watch, not least multi Olympic medallists Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, who need little to no introduction. The decorated pair will no doubt look to add to their Somerford Park tally of wins across the weekend. Hot from her success at The Royal Windsor Horse Show, this will be Charlotte’s first appearance at Somerford Park since welcoming baby Isabella.

A familiar face at Somerford Park, Becky Moody returns to campaign three horses including the nine-year-old Desperado x Fidertanz stallion James Bond who clinched the Prix St Georges freestyle at the Winter Dressage Championships last month.

The venue will also be welcoming our rising stars of the future with a host of short-listed riders for this year’s FEI Dressage European Championships for Youth including: Ruby Hughes, Isabella Caldwell, Sofia Games Abigail Gray, Demi Howard-Cartright, Fleur Pocock and Lilah Gibbs.

Somerford Park is excited to welcome the Premier League back and although entries are slightly down on last year we are delighted with the calibre of rider attending which gives dressage enthusiasts in the north of England a unique opportunity to see their favourites in action this Spring,”

said event organiser Millie Heffernan.

Premier League Dressage events are unique in offering direct qualifier classes to the British Dressage National and Winter Championships. This event is one of only a handful of Premier League dressage events in 2023.

Head to Somerford Park, bank holiday weekend to watch a thrilling schedule of dressage. Tickets can be purchased on the gate £10 per car or £5 per person.
