Policewoman Killed in Accident
A County Down based policewoman has been killed this week in an accident. Tributes have been paid to the constable who fell from her horse during a hunt in Ballygowan, Ireland.
Constable Claire Lowe, 39-yrs-old, was participating in the hunt when the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon. Claire had worked as a police officer for six years and was a well respected member of the community.
Her other past time, equestrianism, led her to run the popular Mill House Equestrian Centre in Northern Ireland. She spent many years of her life breaking and selling quality horses.
Paramedics attended but unfortunately Claire was pronounced dead at the scene.
Residents have been left shocked while tributes pour in for Claire and her family.
