Kentucky Three-Day Event announces new name

Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), the proud producer of the prestigious Kentucky Three-Day Event, is excited to unveil the event’s new name for 2024 – presenting the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event by MARS Equestrian™. Set to grace the Kentucky Horse Park from April 25-28, 2024, this renowned event is a highlight in the world of equestrian sports.

The Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, one of only seven annual Five Star three-day events globally, has earned the moniker of “The Best Weekend All Year.” Drawing nearly 90,000 spectators, attendees not only witness top-tier competition but also indulge in extensive shopping, diverse hospitality experiences, and captivating demonstrations.

Alongside the traditional CCI5*-L, the event showcases the Cosequin® Lexington 4* and Kentucky CSI4* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Erin Woodall, Executive Director of EEI, expressed enthusiasm for the event’s new name, emphasizing its alignment with the event’s history of inspiring individuals to conquer challenges across various terrains. The year 2024 promises exciting changes, made possible by the support of Defender and other generous sponsors.

Having been prominently featured in the 2023 event, Defender once again takes center stage, highlighting the synergy between Defender and the equestrian lifestyle. With over 70 years of innovation, Defender seamlessly blends extraordinary capability with a modern and purposeful design.

Returning as the Official Luxury Automotive Vehicle, Defender sponsors the Defender/USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Championship presented by MARS Equestrian for U.S. athletes. The Defender Experience, Defender Drives, and the Defender Junior Drive Experience will be featured in the Sponsor Courtyard.

During the exhilarating cross-country phase on Saturday, the Defender Tailgate offers a prime vantage point for spectators to witness horses and riders in action. Key spots on the course, such as the iconic Defender Head of the Lake complex and the Defender Offroad for the CCI4*-S, promise an immersive experience for all enthusiasts.

The Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ continues to be a beacon of excellence in the world of equestrian sports, embodying the spirit of adventure, competition, and innovation.
