Looking for somewhere horsey to take the kids this August?

British Showjumping National Championships & Stoneleigh Horse Show from 8th – 13th August

Looking for somewhere horsey to take the kids this August?

If your child is horse mad or perhaps you are just looking for a family day out this August then bring your friends and family along to the NAEC Stoneleigh, Stoneleigh Park in Kenilworth for the British Showjumping National Championships & Stoneleigh Horse Show from 8th – 13th August. With free spectator entry and parking just £5 per car, there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

Across the six days of competition the Bar & Bistro will offer food available to eat in or take away from 7am until late. With the hope of some summer sun there is nothing nicer than sitting and enjoying a jug of Pimms or a bucket of beer which will both be available from the bar, open daily from 12pm until 11pm. Afternoon tea is also available from the Bar & Bistro hospitality area and for the younger ones in the family there will be a bouncy castle and ice cream vans onsite all week.

On Friday and Saturday evening, the Bar & Bistro is set to house the evening entertainment. Commencing after classes have finished, Friday sees the return of Warwickshire based band and last year’s favourite ‘Barney and Jerv’ and new to Saturday evening is the band Event Horizon, playing an eclectic mix of songs  from the ’70’s to now, including pop, rock, funk, indie, soul and disco.

With all this going on, taking a seat in the grandstand or having a wander around some of the tradestands will be a welcome break. Showjumping classes start on Tuesday 8th August with some of the most sought after national finals in the UK and Showing classes start on Friday 10th August hosting 57 Horse of the Year Show qualifiers. The show culminates on Sunday afternoon with the British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway Final and the crowning of the British Showjumping National Champion 2017.
