Longines Global Champions Tour of London Confirmed for 2021 as Ticket Sales Go Live!

The sensational Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and Global Champions League (GCL) of London has been confirmed for 2021! This year’s event, which will be staged once again at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, will take place from 13 – 15 August 2021 bringing the best of the sport together in nail-biting competition.

With safety the number one priority, the event will follow strict health protocols and abide by all COVID-19 regulations. A limited number of tickets are now available both for the LGCT and GCL individual and team competitions which are set to feature amazing showdowns at the historic home of the much-loved Chelsea Pensioners.

All season British riders battle it out on the LGCT circuit, which is one of the highest calibre competitions of equestrian sport. The series travels from Doha to major capital cities in mainland Europe before arriving in London in August. All the riders have their sights set on the ultimate goal of the GC Prague Playoffs this November.

Speaking about the forthcoming event, Olympic Gold Medallist Ben Maher said:

The London Knights team are very excited for our home event, LGCT & GCL London this year! The atmosphere is always fantastic and we are hoping to see as many supporters as possible again this August at the very special venue of Royal Hospital Chelsea.”

The prestigious venue with an electric atmosphere sits in the heart of London and is the perfect backdrop for the innovative and dynamic GCL team competition. Maher and team owner Emily Moffitt, along with the international stars on the London Knights team – will be looking for local support as they battle for valuable points to help them defend their back to back Championship titles in 2018 & 2019.

Following the UK Government’s roadmap announcement – which gives the go-ahead for large-scale events from 21 June, families will be able to enjoy a fantastic day out at this superb venue which will include a shopping village, refreshment areas and kids’ activities. Global Champions is looking forward to welcoming fans back when it is safe to do so and the outdoor food, beverage and fan experiences have been carefully selected to allow for social distancing and enhanced biosecurity measures.

Limited tickets for seats in the covered grandstands are now on sale along with tickets for the chic GC Lounge with privileged seating and a complimentary drink on arrival. The second release of tickets will follow shortly. Tickets purchased in 2020 are rolled over and valid for 2021.
