British Dressage has announced an extension of its partnership with leading equestrian retailers LeMieux. The brand will become the title sponsor of the popular Quest series and championship.

Quest is an entry level series designed for those looking to experience dressage in a fun, relaxed environment and was introduced to BD’s championships in 2012.

Comprised of both My Quest and Team Quest, riders can choose to compete individually or with a group of friends. Qualification throughout the year leads to Semi-Final and National Championship opportunities, with the best of British grassroots riders celebrated annually at a show-stopping extravaganza each autumn.

As British Dressage membership has grown, participation in Quest has also increased significantly, as more new members join to have a go at affiliated competition. Recent revisions to the competition structure have resulted in more riders having access to Quest qualification opportunities across the country, and British Dressage is looking forward to seeing the growth continue under the valued support of a new title partner.

LeMieux are a well known brand of dressage essentials, with an equestrian equipment product range that’s made for riders, by riders. In recent years, LeMieux has expanded into casual leisurewear, competition clothing and footwear, with products available in Selfridges and John Lewis, as well as numerous equestrian retailers nationwide.  As title sponsors of the LeMieux National Championships, we’re pleased to be able to extend their coverage of BD competition at all levels, from grassroots up to Grand Prix.

LeMieux’s support of BD Quest will begin at the Semi-Finals for the 2024 series, launching a multi-year deal which extends to 2026.

Dan Mahoney, Managing Director at LeMieux commented: “LeMieux is proud to become the title sponsor of the flagship LeMieux Quest and LeMieux National Championships with British Dressage. It’s exciting to extend our support to grassroots dressage competitors new to British Dressage, as well as elite audiences. We share Quest’s values of team spirit and individual ambition, and we’re delighted to help promote Quest as a fun and accessible starting point for the sport.

“LeMieux is loved worldwide for its technically advanced, premium men’s, women’s, and children’s collections for horses and riders at all levels of equestrian sport. We link equestrian-led design with practicality you can trust. Our specialist dressage horse and rider collections are ideal for both training and competition and are worn by elite international dressage riders like Lottie Fry, Carl Hester and Becky Moody, as well as those just starting out in dressage. We are thrilled to be part of this journey.”

Jason Brautigam, British Dressage CEO, added: “LeMieux has been a greatly valued sponsor of British Dressage for over ten years, so we’re delighted that they want to expand their association with our sport by adding their name to our popular amateur series.  Quest has been one of the big success stories of BD over the last decade, with over 4,000 Club members now competing in Team Quest and My Quest each year.

“Following the efforts of our riders in Paris, all of whom are supported by LeMieux, there will be plenty of riders inspired to take the next step and experience affiliated dressage.  We look forward to working in partnership with Robert, Dan, and the team at LeMieux to bring fresh enthusiasm and energy to a much-loved aspect of BD competition.”
