Five British and Irish meetings open November’s racing programme, with the Cork Grand National among the afternoon’s main attractions.
Horse racing today, Sunday 1 November 2026, begins at Worcester at 12.10pm. Carlisle and Huntingdon complete the British programme, while Cork stages jumps racing and the Curragh provides the afternoon’s Flat action.
There are 36 scheduled races across the five meetings. Carlisle’s card includes two Listed chases, with Group 3 honours available in the Curragh’s Loughbrown Stakes.
Odds change throughout the day. Prices quoted in this guide are a Sunday morning snapshot and may no longer be available. Runners, going and race times can also change.

Carlisle: Panic Attack withdrawn from mares’ feature
Panic Attack is a non-runner in Carlisle’s 1.48pm Houghton Mares’ Chase, a significant change to the Listed contest’s original line-up.
The 2.58pm Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase is the other Listed race on the card. Potters Charm was quoted at 11/10 in the published morning market, with three runners listed.
Earlier, Keops Des Bordes headed the Racing Post’s betting forecast at 11/10 for the 1.13pm novices’ hurdle. That figure is a forecast rather than a confirmed bookmaker price.
Curragh: Amelia Earhart leads Loughbrown betting
The 2.37pm QuinnBet Loughbrown Stakes is the afternoon’s principal staying race on the Flat, run over just beyond two miles.
Amelia Earhart headed the published morning market at 3/1, with Asakir available at 5/1. Eleven runners were listed for the Group 3 contest.
The Curragh also stages the mile Keadeen Hotel Premier Handicap at 3.12pm. Its final race, the 4.20pm QuinnBet Finale Stakes, offers Listed honours over a mile and a half.
Cork Grand National tests the staying chasers
Cork’s 3.25pm Paddy Power Cork Grand National Handicap Chase provides the staying highlight on its seven-race programme.
Before that, the 2.15pm Irish EBF Novice Hurdle carries Listed status, followed by a Grade 3 novice chase at 2.50pm. Those races make Cork a meeting to follow for horses progressing through the novice ranks.
Chanceawetmorning has been withdrawn from the 2.50pm race.
Worcester: Song Of The Stars attracts early support
Song Of The Stars was among Sunday’s shortest-priced favourites at 3/10 for Worcester’s 2.30pm fillies’ juvenile maiden hurdle.
The meeting includes a beginners’ chase at 1.20pm and finishes with a novices’ handicap hurdle at 3.40pm.
Huntingdon’s seven-race card includes the 2.42pm Macer Gifford Handicap Chase over approximately two miles. Its concluding handicap hurdle at 3.52pm is over three miles and a furlong.
