Horse of the Year Show is delighted to welcome back the popular children’s range of toy’s LEGO Friends who will be sponsoring the Junior Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championships at HOYS 2016.
Some of HOYS youngest competitors will be taking part in the Junior Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championship with competitor ages ranging from 10 to 14 years old. It will be the first year for this new age range to hold a Championship at the prestigious show and it will be held in the new TopSpec Arena.
The Championship aims to recognise and promote junior riders competing on Small Breed Mountain & Moorland ponies, whose breeding is either Welsh Section A, Welsh Section B, Dartmoor, Exmoor or Shetland. The exciting addition will not only support quality Mountain and Moorland breeds, but also successful young riders of the future.
The imaginary world of LEGO Friends is set in Heartlake City where five friends Mia, Stephanie, Andrea, Olivia and Emma live and experience all sorts of fun and adventures. The building sets all make up the various locations in Heartlake City including Heartlake Supermarket, Heartlake Grand Hotel, Heartlake Shopping Mall to name a few so children can build the Heartlake City world and engage with role play.
Vanisha Kavia, Brand Manager for LEGO Friends said “LEGO Friends is delighted to be a sponsor at the prestigious Horse of the Year Show 2016 where we will be sponsoring the Junior Mountain & Moorland Ridden Pony of the Year Championship.”
Richard Todd Show Director at Grandstand Media Ltd added: “We’re delighted to welcome back such an iconic brand to sponsor this class at HOYS. With some of our youngest competitors competing in this class, mostly for the first time at HOYS. LEGO Friends is the perfect partner and we’re very much looking forward to working with an iconic household brand.”
The Championship will take place in the TopSpec Arena at Birmingham’s NEC on Sunday 9th October.
