Ettinger announces Jessica Mendoza as first Global Ambassador

British luxury leather bags and accessories brand, Ettinger, is delighted to announce its first brand ambassador, leading British show jumper, Jessica Mendoza.  At only 20 years of age, she is one of the youngest riders ever to represent Great Britain at senior international level and was selected for the British Olympic Squad and attended the Rio Olympics as the travelling reserve. She now has her sights firmly set on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and, as she competes on the international circuit, will be flying the flag for Ettinger as a luxury lifestyle ambassador.

With equestrian saddlery manufacture being a major part of the British leather goods industry today, the partnership between Ettinger and a leading British show jumper is a great fit. Both industries have long been based in Walsall outside Birmingham and this is where the Ettinger factory is located, but whereas saddlery manufacture thrives to this day, successful leather goods companies such as Ettinger are now few and far between and only a handful remain. Ettinger has been growing in the UK and internationally for the last twenty years and to accommodate this has expanded and refurbished its factory taking on more craftspeople and starting an apprentice programme to allow for continued growth.

Commented Robert Ettinger, “We are delighted to announce this association with Jess and wish her the very best of luck this season. With the 2020 Olympics being held in Tokyo, this is also very moot as Japan is one of our biggest international markets  and the fashionable Ginza shopping district in Tokyo is the location of our only shop.”

Commented Jess Mendoza:  “I genuinely love the quality and feel of Ettinger products and am delighted to be flying the flag for this British brand across the world.”

As Ettinger announces its first ever luxury lifestyle ambassadorship, the brand is also celebrating its 20th year as a Royal Warrant  Holder to HRH The Prince of Wales.
