Golden girl of the decade, Charlotte Dujardin has gone and ‘done it again’ by winning her fifth consecutive title at The London International Horse Show, during the first evenings performances on Tuesday 15th December 2016.
It was a tight call among the top three for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix, but Charlotte shone as a champion should on board Uthopia, clearly demonstrating her transferable skills as a rider. Carl Hester, riding Nip Tuck finished up a mere 1% behind Charlotte, however, her 14-year-old ride Uthopia is co-owned by Carl Hester so the evenings result must have been a rather satisfactory one for the pair!
The Netherlands finished a pleasing third seeing Hans Peter Minderhoud riding the 14-year-old chestnut stallion Glock’s Flirt, finishing less than 1% behind Carl Hester.
Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Freestyle
The Dressage riders graced the Olympia International arena once again this evening (16.12.15) for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Freestyle. This outing proved more favorable for Carl Hester on board Nip Tuck as he triumphed over Charlotte Dujardin, landing a well deserved first place.
Again Hans Peter Minderhoud riding Glock’s Flirt finished in third with Brit Lara Griffith finishing in fourth riding Rubin Al Asad.
With the top-two placed riders being British who, when in the arena, consistently hold the top spots, we can’t help but feel confident as we stand firm in our heading towards Rio Olympics 2016!
