British Dressage has announced that leading horse forage and fibre feed manufacturer, HorseHage, has agreed a three-year deal to sponsor the Preliminary Winter series and Championships from 2022/23 onwards.
How to take part in the Preliminary Winter series and Championships
To take part in the HorseHage Preliminary series, Silver and Gold horse and rider combinations can qualify for a Regional Championship by taking part in regular BD competitions. Points earned from the tests add up to the total points required. For Preliminary riders, it is 20 points, gained from tests with a minimum score of 66%. The top riders at the Preliminary level at the eight Regional Championships will then qualify to compete at the Winter Championships for this prestigious title.
Qualification for the 2023 Winter Championships starts on 1 July 2022. Further details are available on the BD website.
Mark Oliver Westaway of Mark Westaway + Son commented,
We are extremely excited to confirm our sponsorship of the hugely popular Preliminary series and Championships in 2023. As a brand that has supported the British Equestrian Team at every Olympics since 1984, this sponsorship further cements our commitment to supporting riders at every level of their careers. We look forward to discussing feed and forage advice with competitors, their friends and supporters over the course of the series and at the Winter Championships at Hartpury College in April 2023.”
British Dressage Chief Executive Jason Brautigam added;
I am very happy to welcome HorseHage to the British Dressage family of valued sponsors. The heritage that the company has as the official forage supplier to our World Class team speaks volumes for their commitment to equestrian sport. I am sure that our members will appreciate and benefit from the breadth and depth of advice available to them. We very much look forward to working with the HorseHage team to maximise this sponsorship opportunity and hope it marks the start of a long and successful association with dressage.”
A favourite among horse owners, the HorseHage range provides an ideal dust-free forage for all equines and comes with a 100% quality guarantee and BETA NOPs certification. The range contains no chemical additives, preservatives or mould inhibitors, and is lower in sugar than most hays. It is also easy to use as bales split into handy wedges.
