Bolesworth Closed to the Public for Opening Day

Bolesworth International Horse Show - Anthony Condon on Balzac

The Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show has announced closure of the event to the public today due to the conditions caused by the unusual amount of rainfall. The decision was made with health and safety for all in mind.

Each year hundreds of hours of work go into putting the spectacular Bolesworth International Horse Show together. Nina Barbour and her team have worked endlessly to prevent the announcement of closure in the weeks running up to the event.

By preserving the ground earlier in the week, there is hope for the showground to be kept suitable for the following week’s competition and expected footfall. Tomorrow’s highlights include the evening Grand Prix Eventing class, CDI3* Freestyle and the CSI4* Showjumping.

The competition schedule was altered earlier this week in anticipation of unsuitable conditions, however, competition today will go ahead as planned.

With the weather forecast on the up, there is hope for the event to be re-opened tomorrow. Should there be further disruption due to the ongoing weather conditions, announcements will be published as soon as possible.

Everything Horse look forward to bring you results and updates as the day progresses.

Guests who have booked online to attend the event today will be issued a full refund.
