BETA Feed Back on Success from Your Horse Live

BETA, The British Equestrian Trade Association continued sponsorship of the main arena at Your Horse Live last weekend alongside promoting the BETA Feed Awareness Week, the campaign launched to dispel feeding myths and build on nutritional knowledge.

It was clear the latest national campaign, was embraced by many feed companies and retailers exhibiting at the show where branded bunting and promotional posters were visibile throughout.

Once again, the BETA trade stand a popular choice for visitor to the event, who had a chance to win £250 shopping vouchers for take the BETA Feed Awareness Week Test. Safety checks on riding hats and body protectors were also on offer in exchange for a discount voucher giving them 10 per cent off the price of a new one.

The BETA Main Arena, where they could enjoy performances and teach-ins by riders such as Geoff Billington and Mary and Emily King was again a popular choice for visitors.

BETA executive director Claire Williams commented:

Your Horse Live allows us to engage with an enthusiastic audience from a large geographical area. We had people travelling down from Scotland and up from the Isle of Wight and Cornwall. They are from such diverse backgrounds, but we all have horses in common. We relished the opportunity to introduce them to BETA Feed Awareness Week, promote our ongoing drive to raise the profile of rider safety and continue to promote the work of BETA members.”

BETA Stand Awards

The popular BETA Best Stand Awards ran again, as part of the organisation’s commitment to the trade. Prizes were presented during an evening drinks reception.

Three categories – Lifestyle, Pet & Fashion, Equestrian & Saddlery and Food & Beverages – were judged according to set criteria and silver and gold standards awarded.

In the Lifestyle, Pet & Fashion section, gold was won by The Profiles Range, Dogs Trust, Chillout Horsewear and Petplan Equine, with silver going to Zafina, Foy & Co Interiors, Inky Dinky and SEIB.

In Equestrian & Saddlery, gold was presented to NAF, WOW Saddles, V-Bandz, TopSpec Equine, Joshua Jones and Horses in Sport, which also took Best in Show. Silver went to Honeychop Horse Feeds, Emerald Green Feeds, Saracen Horse Feeds, Natural Equine, Bloomfields Horseboxes and Stablemate.

In the Food & Beverages category, gold was awarded to The Coffee Cart, with silver going to Sweet Dreams.
