BEDE Events looks forward to the 2019 Season
Following a busy Eventing season in 2018, the BEDE Events team already have big plans for the Isle of Wight in 2019.
Despite the most challenging start to the 2018 season, due to the storm nicknamed “Beast from the East”, BEDE Events have completed yet another full season of competition. Working throughout the country, hosting events at all levels, BEDE works hard to grow not only the sport of eventing but local economies too. A particular highlight for 2018 was the inaugural London Capital & Finance Osborne Horse Trials.
The Isle of Wight welcomed the first event of its kind with open arms and Queen Victoria’s holiday home, Osborne House, was the perfect setting for the ground breaking event. Horses and riders from across the United Kingdom boarded ferries in order to compete. Local rider, Sarah Holmes, had a very short commute with her top three horses; something she is not used to, with ferry trips normally a must for her to compete!
Following the success of the first event, BEDE are pleased to announce a return to the Isle of Wight on the 23rd and 24th July 2019. With ideas a plenty, the second London Capital & Finance Osborne Horse Trials is set to be bigger and better than the first. Offering the perfect summer getaway, holiday making spectators are expected to folk to the island for this unique event.
The small but mighty Nottinghamshire based team, led by Stuart Buntine, are already deep into planning next years event. With new and exciting concepts coming together for the unique competition at Osborne, the team will offer an exceptional day out.
Stuart, Director of BEDE Events, says of the returning event:
Successfully running an event on the Isle of Wight was a huge highlight and we look forward to doing it all again. It was years in the planning but the amazing feedback suggests it was worth the wait! This showcase event is something really special and we can’t wait to be back on site!”,
this was reaffirmed by the events Chairman, Diana Bown, who mentioned how excited she was that the event was returning the stunning grounds of Osborne House.
Once again, BEDE Events are excited to be working alongside Island based businesses and would like to extend the many opportunities which the event offers from hospitality, to brand awareness to any company who would like to be involved in this amazing event.
