Continuing her incredible breakthrough year, Becky Moody rode to success at Myerscough Premiere League Show in the Grand Prix with her new superstar, James Bond II. The super 10-year-old Desperado x Fidertanz stallion owned by Becky’s longtime supporter, Jo Cooper, sealed his first Grand Prix win in a hot class. After her success with stable mate Jagerbomb at the London International, Becky rode James Bond II to win the class on 70.8%, narrowly ahead of stalwart Emma Hindle on Zippo MI, another exciting new horse.

“Clever Mr Bond was determined to not be entirely outdone by his stable buddy Bomba (Jagerbomb),”

Becky said.

“(He) put his best dancing shoes on for the Grand Prix at Myerscough Premier League. Still so much to improve and develop but he’s really starting to feel like a Grand Prix pony. A nice win on just under 71% is a good start, and now we can just focus on getting better as I know there is so much more to come.”

Olympian Emma and her recent acquisition, Zippo M.I. (Blue Hors Zack x Blue Hors Don Schufro), a 12-year-old former ride of Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen, posted a promising 70.51% on their third start together.

Daniel Bremner enjoyed a successful week with wins in Friday’s Saracen Horse Feeds Intermediate I Gold and Saturday’s Stübben Intermediate II. Frederico (by Franziskus), an 11-year-old Westphalian gelding owned by Susan Singer, headed the Inter I with 67.75%, while 12-year-old Houston V (Tango x Goodtimes), who Daniel co-owns with his wife, Lucy Bremner, and Debbie Beasant, won the Inter II on 69.61%.

“Brilliant start to the year with Susan Singer’s Frederico winning the Inter I and Debbie Beasant’s and our own Houston winning the Inter II at Myerscough Premier League,” Daniel said. Such special horses and a good start to the year. Thank you to Myerscough for running a super show and to our top team.”

Another dual win came courtesy of Kate Cowell with her Dutch-bred gelding, Joolz. Kate and ‘Billywizz’, as the 10-year-old is known in the stable, claimed Thursday’s Saracen Horse Feeds Intermediate I Gold on a promising 70.64% as well as Friday’s Fairfax Saddles Prix St Georges Gold (68.58%).

Sarah Higgins was on good form notching up a treble win. Winner of Thursday’s Fairfax Saddles Prix St Georges Gold (71.81%) as well as the Inter I Freestyle (76.25%) with Sarah Rao’s Geniaal (Vivaldi x Biotop) – her Small Tour winner at CDI Kronenberg last December – Sarah also claimed the win in the Grand Prix Freestyle aboard the Negro-sired Alfranco, also owned by Sarah Rao, on 70.58%.

The leading British pony combination of Abigail Gray and George Clooney B.S (Caesar 171 x Santano) won both the Pony Individual Test and the Pony Team Test (73.67%), while Evie Head and the Negro daughter Gracia LH, owned by Rob and Nicola Lickley, were the highest-scoring across the Youth classes when posting 73.70% to take the Children on Horses Team Test.
