Wocket Woy & The Pwoducer hit the woad

Fans of internet sensations Wocket Woy & The Pwoducer , aka jump jockeys Mattie Batchelor and Marc Goldstein, finally have the chance to meet their heroes. The pair are launching their woadshow, An Evening with Wocket Woy The Pwoducer , with a date at the Albany Theatre, Coventry, on Saturday 26 May at 7.45pm.

Madcap antics and laughter are guaranteed as they talk through some of their classic Saturday-morning Facebook videos, show previously unseen footage and share hilarious stories of what really goes on behind the scenes. There will be audience interaction and special guests, and fans can get autographs, take selfies with them and order fabulous Wocket Woy merchandise.

The duo first captured public attention on Facebook in 2015 with their hilarious videos – filmed on mobile phones while riding on the South Downs. Mattie is usually in front of the camera while Marc provides the creative direction. Hundreds of thousands of fans now eagerly anticipate Wocket Woy & The Pwoducer’s weekly films.

Mattie, a professional jockey from the age of 17, became a weighing-room legend with his “cheeky wascal” wisecracks while pursuing a track career that has included a Hennessy Gold Cup victory on Lord Oaksey’s Carruthers in 2011. Before screen fame came with Wocket Woy, he presented Mattie Meets… for Channel 4 Racing’s show The Morning Line and appeared in a Come Dine with Me Grand National special.

Marc did not intend to follow in his father’s footsteps as a jockey but got the racing bug and jumped into the saddle aged 16 and is one of the top south of England jockeys. He has had many wins and most notably won the Future Stars Chase at Sandown Park on Golan Way in 2011.

Tickets for the Albany Theatre, Coventry, show are available from the box office or online, telephone 024-7699 8964 or visit albanytheatre.co.uk/wocket-woy-and-the-pwoducer. More dates will follow.
