Dressage Anywhere has announced the qualifying classes for the 2019 British Dressage Online Championships are now open.

Into its sixth year, the Championships give dressage riders the opportunity to compete without leaving their yard, which is perfect for riders in remote locations, or those without transport or difficult to load horses. It also provides an opportunity to those who don’t own their own horse or pony, but ride regularly at a riding school or club.

It’s really easy to take part – all you need to do is enter online and then once you’ve ridden and filmed your test, upload the video to the Dressage Anywhere website for judging.

Dressage Anywhere has been running online dressage competition and training classes since 2010 and has judged over 10,000 dressage tests online to date. With over 10,000 members from more than 70 countries, rider’s tests are judged by a BD List 1, 2 or specialist judge and can download their scoresheet as soon as their test has been judged.

From 1 January 2019 to 30 September, 2019 riders entering Dressage Anywhere’s regular monthly competition classes at Introductory to Advanced Medium level can qualify for the British Dressage Online Championships. New for 2019, is the addition of Introductory and Preliminary Junior Championship classes for under 16s.

Linda Whetstone, Chairman of British Dressage said:

Congratulations to Dressage Anywhere for hosting a Championships that is accessible to literally any dressage rider in the world with an arena and a mobile phone or video camera, many of whom might never have dreamed that such an opportunity would ever be available to them – best of luck to all participants’.

To qualify riders must be British Nationals or British Expatriates and achieve three scores at 60% or above at the same level. More information is available on the Dressage Anywhere Rules page: https://www.dressageanywhere.com/Help/DressageAnywhereRules.
