Exciting times as entries open this week – Friday 15th July – for Somerford Park International Horse Trials

Somerford Park Farm is well supported by competitors all year round and an impressive line up is anticipated at this years event which runs 19th – 21st August, allowing time for many of the riders to fly home from Rio and compete with their stars of the future in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

No stone is left unturned and attention to detail is paramount lending a championship feel to the Horse Trials which is reflected in the competitor list each year. Last year’s winners included; Clark Montgomery, James Avery, Harry Meade, Mark Todd, Nicola Wilson and Aoife Clark.

An exciting timetable gets under way on Friday running through to Sunday including; International 1* and 2*, Intermediate and Novice and BE100. A new feature on Sunday will see a change to the 2* with the cross country taking place first followed by the showjumping to incorporate a mounted presentation.

Do you enjoy the occasional Gin? Purchase your tickets, collect you tasting glass and join us on Saturday or Sunday for some Gin tasting in association with The Drunken Pug.
