The Society of Equestrian Artists (SEA) is set to host its Special Spring Exhibition at the National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket from 29 April to 21 May 2026. This year’s event, held in partnership with Bedmax Ltd, promises a unique showcase of both historic and contemporary equestrian art, celebrating the enduring connection between horse and artist.
Visitors will have the rare opportunity to view an original painting by Sir Alfred Munnings, on loan from the Munnings Art Museum in Essex, alongside works by SEA’s Full and Associate Members. The exhibition coincides with a vibrant period in Newmarket’s sporting calendar, including the Tattersall’s Breeze Up Sales and the renowned Guineas Festival at the Rowley Mile.

I am originally from Newmarket and I never tire of visiting the Museum and Palace House when I visit home.”
The Private View, organised in association with Bedmax Ltd, the UK’s leading equine bedding manufacturer, will offer guests an exclusive preview of the collection.
