Lady Jennifer Evans-Bevan, was reunited with her beloved horse, ‘Cloudy’ thanks to Kington Court Nursing Home in Herefordshire and by the efforts of nearby Harwood Eventing where the horse is stabled and competed.
Now a resident of the award winning care provider (Kington Court), Jennifer’s eyes lit up when she saw Cloudy. Evoking cherished memories of her riding days Jennifer, and the staff of the home welcomed the horse into the care home car park. Overwhelmed with joy, Jennifer offered Cloudy with freshly cut carrots, after making a special request to the Kitchen Team.
Jennifer’s connection with Cloudy goes back several years when she purchased the him at a horse sale in Herefordshire. Their last encounter was at the prestigious Chatsworth Horse Trials in 2022. Jennifer hails from a family which has bred horses for generations, specialising in eventing and dressage competitions.
Based in Eardisley in Herefordshire, Harwood Eventing is run by Louise Harwood, a champion eventer herself. Whilst Jennifer is being cared for at Kington Court, Cloudy is been looked after through Harwood Eventing and taking part in competitions.
Natasha Davies, the Lifestyle Coordinator at Kington Court expressed her thanks to Harwood Eventing, commenting:

Seeing Jennifer with her horse certainly highlighted the incredible bond between humans and animals.”
