Dressage at Equestrian Festival Baborówko 2021: Day 1
The first day of Equestrian Festival Baborówko began with the first parts of the dressage tests in the CCI4*-S CCI2*-S and CCI3*-S, as well as CCI2*-YH.
The overnight leader in the most important class of the show – the CCI4*-S is Ingrid Klimke (GER) with SAP HALE BOB OLD. Louise Romeike (SWE) currently sits in second with CATO 60, and Malin Petersen (SWE) is third with Editha 14.
The CCI4*-S will also determine the winner of this year’s Polish National Championships for senior riders. Małgorzata Cybulska (POL) finished with a great round that secured her the leading position in the Championships after the day’s tests and fifth in the overall classification. The CCI4*-S dressage continues on Friday at 9:00 AM.
The leading result in the CCI3*-S belongs to Leo Von Schmeling (GER) riding LUCKY TOUTCH. Ingrid Klimke (GER) with CASCAMARA sits in second, and Josephine Schnaufer- Völkel is third for now with CINNAMON RED. The best Polish athlete is Artur Społowicz with DOLCE BIE. The second part of the dressage for this class will Friday at 10:50 AM.
Felix Etzel (GER) with PROMISING PETE TSF took the lead in the CCI2*-S with Esteban Benitez Valle (ESP) is second with ESCARA GP, and Simone Vinther (SWE) with ABILDGAARDS SYNERGI – third. The best result among Polish riders belongs to Marcin Michałek with EROTYK. The second part of this class starts Friday at 8:30 AM.
The dressage for the CCI2*-YH for the prize of Kunowo Stables, for six-year-old horses, ended with Christoffer Forsberg (SWE) taking the lead aboard WATERMILL WEDGWOOD. Lotte Palmgren (FIN) is the runner-up with DAVIDO, and Merel Blom (NED) sits in third with DENIM. The cross-country for this class will begin on 9:00 AM on Saturday.
