Charlotte Dujardin CBE will return to Olympia, The London International Horse Show this year with Mount St John Freestyle to premier their Freestyle routine when riding in the FEI World Cup Dressage Freestyle to Music.

Dujardin will join the other Freestyle to Music competitors in the grand hall of Olympia, on Tuesday 18th December. The FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix will take place on Monday 17th December.

Said Charlotte:

I am thrilled to be bringing Freestyle back to Olympia! Last year we presented our Masterclass at the Show; it was incredible demonstrating to the audience what she is capable of and giving them insight into one of the next generation Grand Prix horses, showing them why I am so excited by her. It will be fantastic returning to the Grand Hall and showcasing our new Freestyle routine for the first time. It’s going to be very exciting!”

Along with the Hanoverian mare, owned by Mount St John Stud, Dujardin was supposed to premier the new routine during the World Equestrian Games (WEG) 2018 however it was cancelled due to the terrible weather conditions. WEG wasn’t a complete washout for the pair; competing as the youngest horse in the competition, Mount St John Freestyle still did Dujardin and his owners proud as they returned home with two bronze medals.

Speaking of Charlotte and Mount St John Freestyle’s upcoming routine, show Director Simon Brooks-Ward commented:

We are delighted to be welcoming Charlotte and Freestyle back to Olympia, and looking forward to seeing their Freestyle test. The pair were so well received last year, spectators will be in high anticipation at their return to the Show.”

Olympia will this year be trialling a new dressage format that aims to capture a wider audience of competitors with a more appealing shorter Grand Prix technical test.

Tickets are still available to purchase for either performance. For more information and the full programme of events visit www.olympiahorseshow.com
