British Eventing has announced a new long-term partnership with Equell Nutrition, appointing the brand as its Official Equine Supplement Partner in a move designed to support members with “high-quality, science-led guidance” for their horses.

Equell Nutrition, founded in 2024 by Rachael Heald, has developed a targeted supplement range created alongside leading equine nutritionists. The company says its formulations are designed for the modern sport horse, with products intended to support areas including performance, recovery and digestion, as well as everyday well-being.

“Partnering with British Eventing is a proud moment for Equell,” says CEO Rachael Heald. “Equell exists to deliver premium, plant-powered support that delivers real results, real value and real difference in the feed room. Being able to share that mission with the BE community is incredibly exciting – we can’t wait to support owners, riders and their horses to feel and perform at their best throughout the season.”

A key focus for Equell is supporting horses “from the inside out”, with the brand highlighting the role of gut health and the microbiome in overall well-being, behaviour and performance. British Eventing noted that Equell’s products contain natural prebiotic fibres aimed at supporting hindgut health and microbiome diversity.

The organisation also pointed to the importance of safety and compliance for competing riders, stating that Equell’s formulations are produced under UFAS and BETA NOPS accreditation through manufacturing partners, supporting traceability and competition compliance.

Rosie Williams, CEO of British Eventing, says: “We are delighted to welcome Equell Nutrition into the British Eventing family. They bring a dynamic approach to equine supplementation, underpinned by strong scientific principles and a genuine commitment to horse welfare. Their values align perfectly with our own, and we’re excited to work together to bring our members trusted, accessible advice on supporting their horses’ health and performance.”

Equell – who have advertised and collaborated with Everything Horse during 2025, will also be involved in educational content and wider welfare initiatives with British Eventing across the season. British Eventing says this will help ensure riders can access credible, easy-to-understand support around supplement use, gut health, performance management and everyday horse care.

The partnership adds to British Eventing’s wider network, reinforcing its ongoing focus on horse welfare, rider experience and practical guidance for the eventing community.
