2022 LGCT Calendar Revealed

  • Brand New Location And Favourites Return As 2022 LGCT & GCL Calendar Is Confirmed
  • Doha, Qatar to kick off proceedings in March

The much anticipated Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and Global Champions League (GCL) 2022 calendar has been revealed today confirming this season will be bigger, and better, than ever!

After a busy few months preparing for the epic 17 event 2022 season, this year’s calendar has confirmed London, Miami Beach, Mexico City, Cannes and New York will make a return.

2021 LGCT & GCL Season champion Peder Fredricson explained:

I am looking forward to seeing what this year brings and it is great to have popular destinations back on the LGCT calendar. The competitiveness of teams and individual riders through the season will no doubt be as intense as ever.”

The world’s greatest riders and horses will join the ultimate contest for individual and team glory as the countdown begins to the launch of the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL 2022 season with the spectacular curtain-raiser in Doha, Qatar, kicking off in under two weeks 3 – 5 March.

From the middle east, the Tour heads straight to the Americas followed by a fantastic five months across Europe touching down in dynamic capital cities and beautiful Riviera destinations before the grand finale in Riyadh.

All season riders will be battling to secure their golden ticket for a coveted spot in the ultimate individual showdown, the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs. And motivation will be high among team owners, managers and riders to deliver maximum performance to put them in a strong position for the high pressure knockout stages of the GCL Super Cup at the O2 Arena in Prague.

Madrid: 13 – 15 May
Ramatuelle/Saint Tropez: 19 – 21 May
Hamburg: 25 – 29 May
Cannes: 2 – 4 June
Stockholm: 17 – 19 June
Paris: 24 – 26 June
Monaco: 30 June – 1 July
Berlin: TBC
London: 19 – 21 August
Valkenswaard: 26 – 28 August
Rome: 1 – 4 September
New York: 23 – 25 September
Riyadh: 20 – 22 October (Finals)
Prague: 19 – 22 November (Playoffs)

Title Partner and Official Timekeeper Longines will once again have a strong presence throughout the 2022 season continuing the long-term partnership. Longines will be presenting elegant timepieces to recognise the great performances of every Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix and Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix winner.

Due to ongoing pandemic conditions, Shanghai, China will not be included on the 2022 calendar. China will be restored to the calendar as soon as conditions allow.
