Could this be Burton’s Burghley Horse Trials

Bettina Hoy has retained a strong presence at this year’s Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, only being moved into second place by Australian rider, Christopher Burton.

Burton, riding the 11-year-old Nobilis 18, seamlessly floated through the final days dressage to finish on a score of 30.2, wowing not only the spectators but his fellow competitors too.

The Captain Mark Phillips cross-country course, which looks set for some good game play tomorrow, remains the reverse route as it was for 2015. With a total of 31 combinations for horse and rider to consider, it’s bound to be an exciting day!

Cross-country gets started at 11.30am and will be available to view via Burghley.tv.
