This month we reviewed the Spurtar LED USB Rechargeable Hanging Lamp following purchase for use down the stable yard over the winter.

Perfect for outdoor lighting, the Spurtar Rechargeable Hanging Lamp is a multi-purpose item you won’t want to leave the house without during the dark winter months when going to work outside.
With 5 different light modes, this lightweight portable lamp comes with a small hook to hang anywhere you choose. Each light mode is easily accessed by pressing the red button on the top of the lamp. Choose from High Light, Middle Light, Low Light, Fast Strobe or Low Strobe to meet your requirements
Using 4 batteries as power supply, USB-charged within 6h, it offers full 1200 Lumens of amazing light for 6-8 hours. The light has 4 built-in 18650 lithium-ion batteries, which can be recharged over 10000 times.
Our thoughts…
The item is lightweight, yet large enough to cast a bright white light over your immediate working area (around 2 meters square for optimum visibility). The USB charging port is situated at the top, which has a plastic covering for protection when not plugged in.
The instructions say charging takes around 6 hours, for 6-8 hours of light. We found this to be true, although you don’t have to wait the full charging time before you can use the lamp. The handy USB allows for flexibility to charge when ‘on the go’ in the car, when at the yard or simply plug in at home.
Perfect for hanging outside of stables, hay sheds, around the muckheap and for walking to and from the car in the dark. We currently hang it outside two stables, where it provides ample light for the surrounding area, without ‘spooking’ our two young horses who can be a little sensitive at times.
